MENARA KUALA LUMPUR LIGHTS UP IN BLUE IN SUPPORT TO WORLD DIABETES DAY 2011

In conjunction with the World Diabetes Day 2011 on 14 November 2011, Menara Kuala Lumpur is lighted up in Blue as an effort to gather the support with Malaysian Diabetes Association (PDM). The tower lighting of Menara Kuala Lumpur will begin from 7pm until 12pm on 14 November until 21 November 2011.

“Menara Kuala Lumpur always supporting such activities where I hope with this small contribution from Menara Kuala Lumpur to Malaysian Diabetes Association, this campaign can increase awareness among Malaysians on the danger of diabetes”, said YBhg Dato’ Zuraidah Hj Mohd Said, Chief Executive Officer, Menara Kuala Lumpur.

She further adds “Beside that, we also agreed to support this campaign for one week where Menara Kuala Lumpur will lighted up in Blue as an expression of our commitment to fight diabetes”.

With its tagline “Jewel in The Sky”, Menara Kuala Lumpur is the first tower in the world to be installed with such permanent light and sound technologies.

Apart from that, Menara Kuala Lumpur also has organised a few interested event to attract the tourist to visit Menara Kuala Lumput such as, 1Malaysia Heritage Xplorace 2011, KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge 2011, Pesta Negeri Perak, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur at Menara Kuala Lumpur, Up, Close & Personal with Anuar Zain, KL Tower International BASE Jump Malaysia 2011, Pesta Durian 2011 as well as traditional music and dance performance at 1Malaysia Cultural Village, Menara Kuala Lumpur.
