DURIAN FESTIVAL AT MENARA KUALA LUMPUR AND MUZIUM TELEKOM

 

Menara Kuala Lumpur with cooperation of FAMA will be collaborating for the first time in organizing DURIAN FESTIVAL starting from 21 July to 24 July 2011 at 1Malaysia Cultural Village and the surrounding of Menara Kuala Lumpur.

Muzium Telekom will also organize Durian Festival from 25 July to 27 July 2011. This is a yearly event held by Muzium Telekom since its started three years ago.

The main objective in organizing the Durian Festival is to attract Malaysians in consuming local fruits and local produced products, simultaneously to introduce the local fruits to international visitors.

Visitors will get a chance to savour durian, rambutan, mangosteen and pulasan by joining the promotion offer of ‘Makan Sehingga Kenyang’ that only cost RM20 for adults and RM12 for children.

Various stalls await visitors who wish to buy local made durian products such as serawa, jams, ice cream, lempuk and tempoyak. Information counter and exhibition will be opened to showcase detailed information on durian trees and fruits.

In addition to the event, FAMA will also cater other local fruit stalls such as rambutan, mangosteen, dokong, pulasan, dragon fruits, bananas, ciku and guavas that will be sold at reasonable prices.

The festival is open free to all visitors from 10.00am to 8.00pm.

PESTA NEGERI TERENGGANU @ MENARA KUALA LUMPUR

Menara Kuala Lumpur dengan kerjasama Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu akan mengadakan Pesta Negeri Terengganu @ Menara Kuala Lumpur di Kampung Budaya 1Malaysia, Menara Kuala Lumpur dari 18 Jun 2011 hingga 26 Jun 2011.

Ianya akan dibuka secara PERCUMA kepada pengunjung mulai jam 10.00 pagi hingga 8.00 malam.

Pesta  Negeri Terengganu ini diadakan bagi memperkenalkan kebudayaan, kesenian, permainan tradisonal dan pelbagai produk keluaran tempatan.

“Di samping memberi peluang kepada rakyat tempatan dan antarabangsa mengetahui dengan lebih mendalam mengenai seni dan budaya negeri Terengganu, ianya secara tidak langsung dapat membantu mempertingkatkan lagi usaha mempromosikan warisan dan destinasi pelancongan di Malaysia khususnya di Terenganu” kata Puan Zuraidah Mohd Said, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Menara Kuala Lumpur.

“Marilah kita bersama-sama memartabatkan produk tempatan dan saya mengambil kesempatan ini menjemput semua rakyat Malaysia ke Menara Kuala Lumpur bagi bersama-sama memeriahkan lagi Pesta negeri Terengganu ini”, tambah beliau lagi.

MENARA KUALA LUMPUR TO HOST PESTA NEGERI TERENGGANU

Menara Kuala Lumpur with cooperation from the Government of Terengganu will be organizing Pesta Negeri Terengganu at the 1Malaysia Cultural Village, Menara Kuala Lumpur from 18 June 2011 until 26 June 2011.

It is open for FREE to visitors starting from 10.00am until 8.00pm.

Pesta Negeri Terengganu will be organized to introduce the culture, art and traditional games as well as the local made handicrafts.

“This is an opportunity given for the local and international visitors to learn more about our culture and traditions from the Terengganu state. In addition, it also promotes the heritage values and tourism sector of the state in Malaysia,” said Puan Zuraidah Mohd Said, Chief Executive Officer of Menara Kuala Lumpur.

“Let’s support the locally made products and I wish to take this opportunity to invite all Malaysians to Menara Kuala Lumpur to hype up Pesta Negeri Terengganu,” she added.

Anuar Zain, the most sought-after male singer will be performing for the first time at Menara Kuala Lumpur on 15 and 16 July 2011.

Enthusiastic fans will be serenaded with a spectacular and exclusive performance aptly called ‘Up, Close & Personal with Anuar Zain @ Menara Kuala Lumpur’ at Mega View Banquet Deck of Menara Kuala Lumpur at a height of 288 metres.

The KL Tower International Night Towerthon Challenge 2011 will take place on Saturday, 7 May 2011. 

Menara Kuala Lumpur’s yearly signature event will be held for the 10^th consecutive time at night for the very first time. 

 

Win prizes worth RM 100,000.00 as a whole and a chance to challenge yourself to run 800 meters uphill before climbing 2,058 steps to reach the top level of 288 meters above ground level at Mega View (TH03).
